As the holiday season is almost upon us, it is a good time to start thinking about the joyous times we will have. No no, not the stuff under the tree. The parties and gatherings. Hanging out with the folks and listening to the adults talk about how cute we are and tell stories of pre-history (you know, before us).

Over the next few shows we are going to talk about the proper kid etiquette for these holiday parties.

And, the first thing we will start with is what's first on a kid's mind, food, i.e., cookies. As a kid we know that there are no good parties without good cookies.

After consulting with my good friends Emeril and Julia, we are going to make our own. First we've prepared the dough. Though Mom wouldn't let me use any of Julia's special ingredient, we still managed achieve a unique taste from flour and a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Never the less, we have our dough. Now we take our cookie cutter and using a little trick from Emeril, and BAM, we've created wonderful holiday treats.

Another kid tip: when it is time to do the dishes, it probably a good time to take a nap. When the nap is over, the house will smell of freshly baked cookies and the dishes will magically have been cleaned. Such a wonderful time of year.

In our next show we will discuss, how to entertain.
