Purchased in 1726 by English land speculator William Fell, the
Fells Point area was incorporated into Baltimore (est. 1729) in 1797. The area has
a colorful history and retains the flavor of its waterfront heritage. It is a blend of
18th and 19th century homes, warehouses, interesting bars and restaurants.
