Los Tules
is a twenty acre resort nestled in a grove of palm trees in the Hotel Zone. The Hotel Zone is an area along the beach just north of downtown Puerto Vallarta. Los Tules appears to have been built in the early 1980's. It was probably pretty neat back then and still has charm, but currently suffers from a mixed management. It is part private ownership, part time-share, and part rentals. The privately owned and those being converted to time-share are very nicely done. Fortunately, the others are undergoing upgrading. Even with its problems, it has a nice beach, nice landscaping, interesting rooms, a good adobe feel, and a good location relative to other activities. . |
