Looking at the Westin Brisis from the beach (beach view)
you will notice that the ocean side of the hotel slopes in such a way as to allow
the rooms on successively lower floors to extend further seaward than the floor above.
This allows each room to have an open-to-the-sky and sunny terrace. The above west
looking views (mid-day and near sunset) were taken from L&B's terrace. On each
terrace, along with other patio furniture, is a hammock. You can see hammocks attached
to the wall on the lower terraces. L loves hammocks and it was a deciding factor
in B's choosing this hotel. The tower extending out from the building is an elevator
that goes from the lobby level to beach. Both L&B enjoyed laying in the hammock
at night and just looking at the stars and listening to the surf. |
