The restaurant La Casa Que Canta is part of a small, exclusive, thirty-six room hotel
of the same name. The hotel is said to be a favorite escape for some of the Hollywood
crowd.
The restaurant is in an open sided building with a true thatched roof that gives
the feel of being in Polynesian village. The above photo shows the underside of that
roof. Two dinning levels can be seen. The glass globes at right contain candles and
provide romantic lighting after sunset.
At the top of the stairs is a small elevated waiting area. It is surrounded by terra
cotta pots and statues. L is shown below seated there after dinner. The entry to
the restaurant is at the top of the stairs and across a small lobby. |
