Like images from a "lost world" movie, these low hanging rain clouds
being ripped and torn by the pinnacle and peaked remnants of these karsted limestone
mountains provide a surreal and fantasy feel to a trip down the Lijiang River.
When you think of exotic topographic landforms in China, in many cases you are thinking
of the water sculpted mountains and hills surrounding Guilin. Here we are traveling
down the Li (Lijiang) River from Guilin to Yangshou. It is a rainy day which adds
to the mysteriousness of the vistas and piques the imagination. |
